Virginia Beach, Virginia

Our first trip and certainly not our last to Virginia beach. The trip took A LOT longer than anticipated. This was mainly due to the volume of visitors and the traffic along I-95. You could not tell from the early morning pictures just how many people there were, the hotels were nearly full though.

On the way back to Maryland, we decided to avoid I-95 and go through the back roads. Time to whip out the GPS!

Luray Cavern's

Luray Caverns.

This is a one day trip, again anothenoce, short adventure away from work. Don't forget to visit the piano made of stalagtites and stalagmites! It was quite cold down there so do bring a jacket.

V. Sattui

One thing we have never done is go to Napa Valley for a little wine tasting. A friend of ours recommended that we go to V. Sattui. A friend, to remain a friend, would not steer you wrong...and she didn't.

Muir Woods.

Muir Woods.

Never knew such wooded area excited so close to a major metropolitan area. A day is too short to visit Muir Woods, but if that is all the time you've got, then go ahead. We certainly did not regret it. Take caution though, there are a lot of bends and sharp turns on the way to the the park. Also, the park is a delicate ecosystem so no pets or bikes are allowed.

San Francisco

We never run out of reasons to visit San Francisco. This time, we had guest who have never been there and really excited to see the famous Golden Gate Bridge"

That is right, 2009 and not 2010. April to be exact. The location, the nations capital. Washington DC is always a good choice for a quick and short vacation. Particularly in spring.

Oops, It is 2010!

Time sure fly's! I was sure I'ld be able to post all these pictures before 2009 ended but here it is, April and I am just about to begin. To make matters worse, I've probably forgotten much of the details. So, I hope you enjoy the pictures, links and just imagine being there.
